I thought I would switch it up this week! Rather than
pointing out things about our bodies and ourselves that we’d like to change – I
am doing #ThingsILikeTuesday –about myself! Hardest one yet – digging deep
here! This is weird. This is really weird.
- My brains. True story – I would rather be called smart than
pretty any day of the week. I have a lot going on up there, you guys. Too much
actually. Way too much. Need. Sleep.
- My introverted-ness. A few years ago, someone suggested that
I read ‘Quiet.’ When I realized what it was about, I was kind of really offended.
I thought that being an introvert sounded like a terrible thing and I actually
kind of like people sometimes (haha). So I learned to embrace it and this
realization has actually helped me so much. I know I need alone time to reenergize
and get my thoughts together. I’m not scared to be alone. I take a lot of time
to build few relationships. It doesn’t seem so bad to me after all! To think
all these years I just thought I was painfully awkward…! J
- My fashion sense. I have a good taste in shoes, what can I
say. My heart is happy, my wallet not so much.
- My passion. I’m like crazy super passionate about a few
things. Maybe too many because my execution is a little off but – these things
make me happy and keep me moving and motivated.
- My #momlife. I like plans and a schedule and rules and let’s
face it – having kids throws you off schedule sometimes most of the
time. I handle spontaneity and lack of plans quite well – at least a lot better
than I would have thought! I feel blessed that my job allows for it!
Okay, now I feel a little full of myself naming those things
so I feel inclined to tell you that my nail beds suck. LOL. That was kind of
fun though. I know we hear it all the time – but pointing things out that we LIKE
– can be a total game changer. Let’s do it for us – and for our kiddos who are
watching our every move J
